Art classes in London | Classical techniques | Painting & drawing

Welcome to my website. You may enroll on my tailored art courses in London. These tuitions on classical painting and drawing classes will teach you how to paint like the old masters, by using time proven techniques and methods. Several locations available across central London: Saatchi gallery (Sloane Square), V&A Museum (South Kensington), Grosvenor (Bond street), Linen Hall (Oxford Circus) and Chiswick Park (Gennersbury). You will also find some detailed explanations of my artwork: it covers a wide range of 2D media such as acrylics, oils, watercolours, egg tempera, pastels, drawing and photography. You will also be able to read art essays or book me for a corporate event at your company: just like Bank of America Merrill Lynch, Discovery, Unesco and several architecture offices decided to do. Please contact me for more info.

Bellow is a short video of me drawing some details from a convent in Portugal.

“Painting expresses reality in a way that no other language can. It cannot be turned into literature or replaced by conceptual art. It cannot be explained. Painting is its own reason for being.” Nelson Ferreira – Personal Statement for the IRIDE art group

Many years ago, I did this pencil drawing to show how to draw a face to my first painting students ever. I think it’s important to emphasise the contrast of light and shadow – in order to attain this classical glamorous Hollywood ‘golden era’ type of image. Do not be afraid of shading!
