My PlatiGleam paintings have begun their journey across Asia. The tour commenced with a notable exhibition at the Faculty of Fine Arts of Dhaka University (Charukola), where these artworks were unveiled to an eager, young, and artistic audience. A digressão começou com uma notável exposição na Faculdade de Belas Artes da Universidade de Dhaka (Charukola), onde estas obras de arte foram reveladas a um público ávido, jovem e artístico. Alongside the exhibition, I offered a seminar for about 150 people. It provided a platform for insightful discussions about contemporary art. I urged the public to understand why I have very little interest on contemporary art, and why I consider myself a post-contemporary artist. Shortly, I will upload this talk to my YouTube channel. Artist Tasleema Alam taught Indian miniature technique. I taught a week-long on 19th century Bargue Drawing Course for 50 postgraduate students in Fine Arts (MA and PhD). Paralelamente à exposição, organizei um seminário para cerca de 150 pessoas. Este evento serviu de plataforma para discussões profundas sobre arte contemporânea. Pedi ao público que compreendesse por que razão tenho muito pouco interesse na arte contemporânea e porque me considero um artista pós-contemporâneo. Em breve, colocarei esta palestra no meu canal do YouTube. A artista Tasleema Alam ensinou a técnica de pintura de miniaturas indianas. Eu leccionei um curso de uma semana sobre Desenho Bargue do século XIX, para 50 estudantes de mestrado e doutoramento em belas-artes.
Continuing its voyage, the tour made a stop at the Shanto-Mariam University of Creative Technology, where my pop-up exhibition sparked deep interest. I also offered a 90min talk about some connections between the visual arts and music.
Continuando esta viagem, a digressão fez uma paragem na Universidade Shanto-Mariam de Tecnologia Criativa, onde a minha exposição pop-up despertou grande interesse. Também ofereci uma palestra de 90 minutos sobre algumas ligações entre as artes visuais e a música.
The intimate setting of private homes hosted several exhibitions across Dhaka, allowing art collectors to appreciate the PlatiGleam paintings in a more personal setting. Thanks to professor Razwan, my paintings were seen by directors of large fashion, airlines and health companies. The International School of Dhaka also welcomed this tour with open arms, providing a dynamic backdrop for a pop-up exhibition and educational lesson. Here, young students were invited to explore the surprising effect of PlatiGleam, igniting curiosity and fostering a deeper appreciation for artistic creativity. There was also a 1h discussion on career paths for diploma students.
A Escola Internacional de Daca também recebeu esta visita de braços abertos, proporcionando um cenário dinâmico para uma exposição pop-up e uma aula educativa. Aqui, os jovens estudantes foram convidados a explorar o efeito surpreendente do PlatiGleam, despertando a curiosidade e promovendo uma apreciação mais profunda da criatividade artística. Houve também um debate de uma hora sobre percursos profissionais para os alunos com diploma.
In a gesture of compassion, the tour reached out to the It's Humanity Foundation, where a pop-up exhibition and an Ebru marbling lesson for small children brought joy and inspiration to those in need. These endeavors underscored the transformative power of art in uplifting communities and spreading positivity. Num gesto de compaixão, a digressão estendeu a mão à It's Humanity Foundation, onde uma exposição pop-up e uma aula de marmoreado Ebru para crianças pequenas levaram alegria e inspiração aos mais necessitados. Estas iniciativas sublinharam o poder transformador da arte na elevação das comunidades e na difusão da positividade.
NEPAL
March 22nd at 3pm will be the opening of my exhibition in Kathmandu, at the Nepal Art Council. I’m really looking forward to this adventure. I’ll be creating a special triptych based on the temple heritage of the Kathmandu Valley. On the 24th I’ll be giving a talk at 3.30pm. Free entry to both events. No dia 22 de março, às 15h00, será a inauguração da minha exposição em Katmandu, no Nepal Art Council. Estou muito entusiasmado com esta aventura. Vou criar um tríptico especial baseado no património dos templos do Vale de Katmandu. No dia 24, darei uma palestra às 15h30m. A entrada é gratuita para ambos os eventos.
