PROCESS

These are paintings made without paint. They have to be seen live, in order to fully appreciate the gamut of tones they generate. They were painted during the night. A documentary is about to be released, as the whole process was filmed. Here's a short clip of me painting 'Plein Air' and at night, until 4ish am:

And this is a detail of the painting. Notice the shimmering colour shifts as the light in the room changes:



 

And one of the panels of the Batalha Monastery exhibition went on a tour to Porto. It was exhibited for 2h at the fortress of Castelo do Queijo, to celebrate the first realistic night painting course in the world. A huge number of people turned up for this event. After everyone left, I made this short video:
