The fifth day of teaching 30 students at the state university in Malang, East Java. I've never met such committed young pupils. I was so touched when I discovered that yesterday they asked for permission to sleep inside the university - ON THE FLOOR - so that they could carry on drawing their pictures after our class. As that was not permitted, many students went home to sleep and returned at 5am to carry on working on their Bargue drawings. At. 5. am!!!
I will always miss them, this amazing class is in my heart. The following Monday, I started teaching another 36 students. I love Indonesia and it's marvelous people. Look at the fabulous results these 18 year olds achieved with charcoal on paper.

Fiquei muito emocionado quando soube que ontem eles pediram autorização para dormir dentro da universidade - NO CHÃO - para poderem continuar os desenhos depois da nossa aula. Como isso não lhes foi permitido, os alunos foram para casa dormir e muitos regressaram às 5h da manhã para continuar os desenhos Bargue. ÀS 5H00 DA MANHÃ!!! Irei sempre ficar com saudades, esta turma incrível está no meu coração. Na segunda-feira seguinte iniciei outro curso, com outros 36 alunos. Eu amo a Indonésia e o seu povo maravilhoso Vejam os resultados fabulosos que esses jovens de 18 anos conseguiram, com carvão sobre papel.
